FitPro Orientation - Summer

Welcome to UOW College. Here you'll find everything you need to know about getting started with your studies in our FitPro course.

Once you have registered, you will be sent an email on the day of orientation to log into the eventhub and join your online orientation session.

At your orientation, you will receive important information about your course, learn about the various online systems, services and support available to you.

We encourage you to explore the Transition for Success pages of this website to help you transition into UOW College and get the best possible start.

Getting Started Checklist 

Before Orientation

The information on this site will help you understand the process, systems, key contacts and support that you will receive while studying at UOW College. Visit our New Student Enrolment Support page for helpful information on preparing for your enrolment.

Our team will deliver the Orientation session to help get you started. Orientation is compulsory and you must be registered to attend. 

Your UOWmail account (username@uowmail.edu.au) is the primary way you'll communicate with the University by email. It’s important to check your UOWmail regularly so you don’t miss out on any important information. Set up your UOWmail account on your phone so you can easily access your emails and receive notifications. With UOWMail you can also download the entire Microsoft Office suite for free on up to five personal devices and store heaps of your data on OneDrive. 

Login to UOWmail 

Once your UOWmail is set up and enrolment complete, you will receive an email to activate your Axcelerate account. You have 48 hours to activate your Axcelerate account.

All student learning resources and assessments will be available to you in Axcelerate. You'll also receive communication from your trainers via Axcelerate to your UOWmail address.

On Orientation day

You will be required to register for the orientation session

There are some key session dates you should be aware of, like when classes are on and when fees are due.

Our full range of academic and personal services and support are available online. Access live study support, accessibility units, graduate options, careers counsellors, and many more. 

After Orientation

Visit our Study at UOW website for all the information you need about coming on campus, using our facilities and following social distancing practices. 

You'll be spending a lot of time here during your studies. Learn more about the resources, study spaces and expert services available at the UOW Library.
