Here you will find useful information on a range of systems and processes to support you with your studies at UOW College. Find out more below.

Webex Teams

Webex Teams is used for communication with trainers either individually or within your class group. You login with your UOW login details to access your class. This site is used throughout class time to share your group projects, trainers provide additional training resources and you can ask questions about your assessment tasks. This is our main form of communication between trainers and students.

aXcelerate

All student learning resources and assessments will be made available to you through aXcelerate.

It is also one of the key ways the UOW College and your trainers will communicate to your UOWmail address. It’s a good idea to get into a habit of checking your aXcelerate regularly.

UOWMail and aXcelerate are two different things. You need to check both regularly.

Once your UOWmail is set up and enrolment complete, you will receive an email to activate your aXcelerate account.

You have 48 hours to activate your aXcelerate account.

UOWMail

Your UOWmail account (username@uowmail.edu.au) is the primary way you'll communicate with the University by email. With UOWMail you can also download the entire Microsoft Office suite for free on up to five personal devices and store heaps of your data on OneDrive.

More information about UOWMail is available on the user account page

Turnitin

Turnitin is an electronic text matching software used by the university to prevent plagiarism. There are certain assignments and activities that may require you to submit via the Turnitin Moodle activity.

Turnitin is used to check the originality of papers and the correctness of citation practices in your work as well as providing a platform for comprehensive feedback about your academic writing and assessment marks. You are also able to view all your feedback and grades submitted via Turnitin.
