The College Peer Coaches and Mentors are student ambassadors and can assist students to achieve academic success as they connect students to a range of academic and personal support services at the College and UOW. 

Peer Coaches provide 1:1 drop-in sessions at Learning Hub. They can assist students with referencing, how to understand assessment questions, navigate online student resources such as Turnitin, Subject Moodle sites, Learning Coop and Studiosity.

Peer Student Mentors are paired up with new students post orientation for 4 weeks through weekly sessions that introduce students gradually to UOW College and UOW systems. Each week PSM conduct pre-arranged activities to orientate students to understanding SOLS, UOW email, printing, UOW apps, time management and study skills; and academic considerations.

Peer Coaches and Mentors are available in Learning Hub between 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

UOW College Australia delivers an in-house Peer Learning Program, to enhance the overall student learning experience.  

Help is given by current university students who have already successfully completed the subjects, or equivalent subjects. There are three types of peer learning support: Peer Assisted Tutorials (PAT), Peer Assisted Learning Sessions (PALS) and Peer Assisted Consultations (PAC).

Studiosity is an after-hours, online tutoring service that can provide, live, one-on-one, anonymous academic study help to UOW College students. All Studiosity online tutors are qualified and experienced teachers or university experts. They are extensively trained to ensure you receive only the best tutoring help. Tutors in a range of subject areas are available for homework, assignments, exam preparations and general study questions.
